This is a blog by featured guest author, Alyssa Serbak.
It’s time to put the puffer coats and Ugg minis away, summer is just around the corner! Ladies, this is for you. Now is the time to upgrade your wardrobe, bring out those tanks and bikinis, and show off the newest styles of summer fashion… but where to start?
Cargos/Parachute Pants
The era of big and baggy bottoms is back. This style of bottoms really began in the spring, however, it is just the beginning. With summer around the corner, brands are finding every which way to design cargo/parachute pants to fit the summer weather. Check out some of the different ways these brands have put a new twist on the trending style of pants above.
Denim on Denim
Denim has always been in style, one way or another. Skinny jeans, baggy jeans, ripped jeans, flare jeans, jean shorts, jean skirts, you name it. This summer, jean material is taking things to the next level with adding even more denim to the outfits. Denim on denim can consist of wearing jeans (long, short, or skirt form) with a top made out of jean material. This jean top can be a jean jacket, a jean vest, or even a jean tube top. Check out some of the denim items that will be all the rage this summer above.
Knit/Crochet Sets
The lastly circled early 2000s fashion is out with the old, and the 1970s fashion is in with the new. The hit show of the season, Daisy Jones and the Six, is responsible for the uprising in 70s fashion trends, including a fan favorite, knit sets. Who would’ve thought that sweaters in 80-degree weather would be the new thing? Not me… but I am all here for it. These can be styles as a fancy dinner outfit, a beach cover up, or even a lounge-around outfit. Knit sets come in so many different styles, that being tank tops with skirts, tank tops with pants, long sleeve with skirts, long sleeve with pants, and so on.
Headbands
Your childhood dreams are coming back to life. Headbands are here this summer to make a great return. Thick, athletic headbands can be seen worn with matching yoga sets on the way to Pilates class. Or the zig-zag pronged headbands can be seen worn with a casual, exploring town outfit, or even a fancy dinner outfit. Finally, the boho-colorful headbands will be a beach favorite this year, worn with ocean blown hair or a messy bun, styled perfectly with a bikini.
