Your Pittsburgh Weekend Plans

Light Up Night: Market Square
And just like that, it’s November again and Christmas is around the corner. No better way to celebrate than with family and friends in the great city of Pittsburgh.
Clear your calendar on Saturday Nov. 23 for a festive evening downtown. My recommendations? Come early! Take the afternoon to explore the holiday displays, Santa’s from around the World in PPG building lobbies. Take in the beauty of the Nativity at Crèche, a recreation of the one in Rome at Saint Peters Basilica. Attend the FREE Highmark Light Up Night Concert, presented by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at Heinz Hall. Make dinner reservations in Market Square, Pizzaiolo for the best Italian, and save room for dessert because just outside you’ll be able to warm your chilled fingertips with steaming cocoa.
Grab all your holiday gifts at People’s Gas Holiday Market. To cap your evening, either sit in awe of the PPG Tree with 100,000 lights or buckle up your ice skates and try to work off dinner. With copious amounts of gifts, food and entertainment. Your Saturday is sure to bring you Christmas Cheer.
Sunday Mass at Epiphany and Refuel
Start your Sunday off right, mass at Epiphany Roman Catholic Church, 10am. Centrally located downtown. Take in the absolutely stunning architecture and the word of God. Make peace and give thanks, And most importantly keep Christ in Christmas this Holiday season.
Grab a latte in the Strip District at La Prima, and restock the pantry at Penn Mac. Take a nice stroll around The Strip and start planning on who’s getting invited this Thanksgiving.
